Privacy Policy — Om.AI Pro

Two roles, in plain terms. For your own account data, Om.AI decides how the data is used, so Om.AI is the data fiduciary. For the client data you enter, you decide why and how it is used in your practice — so under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you are the Data Fiduciary and Om.AI is your Data Processor, handling that data only on your instructions to produce the readings you ask for.

1. Data we collect

(a) Astrologer account data

• Identity & contact: your name, email address, and/or phone number used to sign in (via Google, Apple, phone OTP or email).
• Subscription & payment: your plan, subscription status, and payment records. Card/UPI details are handled by Razorpay — Om.AI does not store your full payment instrument.
• Usage & analytics: basic product analytics, server logs, and cookie-based usage analytics (via Google Analytics) needed to run, secure and improve the service. You can block these with most browsers or an ad/analytics blocker.
• Approximate location (safety feature): if a message sent to the assistant indicates a personal crisis, we use your IP address to determine your country so the reply can include a locally relevant crisis helpline. The lookup runs on our own servers against a local GeoLite2 database — the IP address is not sent to any external service for this purpose, and no location information is stored.

(b) Client data you enter

• Each client's name, date, time and place of birth, gender, and the computed birth chart.
• Consultation content: the questions you ask, the briefs generated, and any notes, predictions or follow-ups you save against that client or a compatibility match.

You should enter only the client data you need for the consultation, and only where you have the client's permission or another lawful basis to do so (see your responsibilities below).

2. How we use data

• To provide the service: compute charts, generate consultation briefs and compatibility analyses, and save your per-client notes, predictions and history so your work persists between sessions.
• To process payments and manage your subscription (through Razorpay).
• To secure, maintain, debug and improve the service.
• To communicate with you about your account, billing and support.

We do not sell your data or your clients' data, and we do not use client data to advertise to your clients.

We may disclose data where required by law, by a court order, or by a lawful request from a competent authority, or where reasonably necessary to protect our rights, our users, or the public.

3. Service providers (sub-processors) we use

To run Om.AI Pro we share data with trusted providers strictly to deliver the service:

These providers act under contract and are not permitted to use the data for their own purposes beyond providing their service to us. Because some processing (e.g. AI generation) occurs outside India, using Om.AI Pro involves an international transfer of the relevant data for that purpose.

4. Security

We apply reasonable technical and organisational safeguards — encryption in transit, access controls, and rules that restrict each astrologer's data to their own account. The root account/billing records are server-controlled and cannot be altered from the browser. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect data and to notify affected parties of a material breach as required by law.

5. Retention & deletion

• We keep account and client data while your account is active and as needed to provide the service and meet legal or accounting requirements.
• Deleting a client in the console removes that client's record and the associated notes, predictions, chats and history.
• Closing your account removes your Pro data. To delete your account and associated data, email support@omai.app from your registered address; we will action it and confirm.

6. Your responsibilities as the astrologer (controller)

• Obtain your clients' consent (or rely on another lawful basis) before entering their birth and consultation details into Om.AI Pro.
• Tell your clients, where appropriate, that you use a software tool to prepare their reading and that their details are processed for that purpose.
• Honour your clients' requests to access, correct or delete their information — you can do this directly in the console, and we will assist on request.
• Only enter data for genuine consultation purposes, and not data you have no right to process.

7. Rights of individuals

Individuals whose data is processed (you, and your clients) have rights under applicable law — including to access, correct and delete their data, and to raise a grievance. As the astrologer, you can exercise client rights directly in the console; for account-level requests or help, contact us at support@omai.app. If your client contacts Om.AI directly, we will generally direct them to you as the controller of their data and assist you in responding.

8. Children

Om.AI Pro is for professional astrologers (adults). If you enter the data of a child (for example, a minor's birth details for a family consultation), you confirm you have the consent of the child's parent or lawful guardian to do so, consistent with applicable law.

9. Changes & governing law

We may update this policy; material changes will be notified through the service or by email. This policy is governed by the laws of India, and disputes are subject to the courts of India.
